Aggregate Twitterage

  • 04:34 Playing with Picasa 3.5 face-tagging-people-identifying thing. If I could block-tag faces as mine (say) or Maddy's it'd be useful. Not yet. #
  • 04:38 @roryok but can you block-mark people, so you go, these fifty pics are all the same person? (and if so, how?) #
  • 04:46 @albrecht_letao I've been really disappointed by iPhoto's face recognition. Picasa's doing better, so far (and much faster on this mac). #
  • 04:53 @cornetchap I'm on a mac -- will figure it out... #
  • 04:57 Hah. Right. Pi casa does do block tagging for faces. I take it all back. #
  • 06:13 @Raven268 who are any of us? #
  • 06:16 Congratulations to @davemckean and Chris Riddell, nominated for Kate Greenaway Prizes for Graveyard Book and Crazy Hair bit.ly/aRtFU #
  • 06:18 And I'm thrilled that The Graveyard Book is nominated for the Carnegie Medal. On a long list of very good books, mind bit.ly/3ftt1H #
  • 19:49 @KRCAFTW I think there are many books on the Carnegie list this year that deserve to win it, Nation among them. #
  • 19:50 @evandorkin @thejillthompson just read -- and LOVED Beasts of Burden 2. It's rapidly becoming one of my favourite comics. Nice job. #
  • 19:53 @alexamonster cool. What are the words? #
  • 19:55 @MotleyHippie no, I'm not American. But Biscuits are a sort of scone in the US. #
  • 19:55 @theothervowel stardust? American gods? #
  • 19:59 @amandapalmer I ima gine you in a Frank Frazetta painting like Conan on top of a mound of slain composers. It's good I'm not a painter. #
  • 20:51 @EllenKushner er... Delia? We owe it all to Delia? #
  • 20:52 @alexamonster you should send it in to bit.ly/2hYYNc -- they collect them... #
  • 20:53 @DaveMcKean glad you clarified that because I was very confused. #
  • 20:57 "Glad I avoided the chocolate risotto." Who are you and what did you do to @DaveMcKean? #
  • 21:06 @EllenKushner I'd point at the Ballantine Adult Fantasy List and Lin Carter as the place it all started. #
  • 21:07 @pnume207 a lot of prisoners have told me they like it. And that the prison in the book felt right. #
  • 21:09 oops. The Chocolate Risotto tweet was intended for @davemckean, and not to confuse the rest of you. #
  • 21:23 RT agreed! @JonathanStrahan: @EllenKushner There's little doubt in my mind Terri deserves a WFC lifetime achievement award for her work. #
  • 21:24 News from @serenaaltschul that the thing on me on C BS tomorrow morning was just bumped by the Fort Hood Massacre. Which is fair enough. #
  • 22:34 @EllenKushner probably. For me it's a river: not sure where you can draw the line. You can't take out the Frouds or Labyrinth, for example.. #
  • 22:36 @EllenKushner @JonathanStrahan surely @therealClivebarker got it years ago, and he's not even 62 yet. #
  • 00:22 @JonathanStrahan my goof @Ellen Kushner. @therealCliveBarker won a World Fantasy years ago, but not Lifetime Achievement. #
  • 00:32 @JonathanStrahan @EllenKushner Good idea on the over 62 rule. I've got a few LT achievements awards, and they are REALLY DEPRESSING. #
  • 00:56 @JonathanStrahan not when you are still in your 40s they aren't. #
  • 01:39 @doctorow orange enamel paint, perhaps? #
  • 02:14 @actordougjones Miss @maddyg44 undoubtedly sends her love (but is asleep right now). She misses you. #
